Safe Sanctuary Training Online

The Texas Annual Conference and the Committee on Safe Sanctuary is offering a new way for volunteers to complete safe sanctuary training.

To make the process more cost efficient and convenient for users, safe sanctuary training is now being offered online. Individuals are responsible for knowing all the information presented in the safe sanctuary policy and can learn at their own pace by reading the policy and/or watching a series of videos online. When they are confident with the material they can then take a test online which will automatically generate a certificate upon passing with the user’s name, date and time of completion. Individuals will still be required to follow the certification process as outlined below. 

CERTIFICATION PROCESS

1.         All Leaders, Assistant Leaders. Or Childcare Providers shall complete an application / consent form. By signing the form, the applicant gives permission to have references checked and background screening completed by the appropriate authority. BACKGROUND CHECKS ARE REQUIRED ANNUALLY!!!!!

2.         The application will be processed by the local church. (All references checked and background screening completed.)

3.         All applicants must attend Safe Sanctuary training.

4.         The certification checklist will be completed by the local church and sent to the Safe Sanctuary office to complete the certification process for the conference policy.
